July 2023 – a busy summer

June saw the Master’s Weekend in Lichfield, and a chance to explore the National Arboretum. A highlight was seeing the new Submariners’ Memorial, particularly relevant to us in view of our association with the recently-commissioned submarine, HMS Anson.

After a very successful dinner in May at Ironmongers’ Hall, 140 Liverymen and guests enjoyed our Installation Dinner at Mansion House on 25th July, when John Swain presided for the first time as Master.

July also saw the London Taxi Drivers’ Charity day out for disadvantaged youngsters, an occasion our members give great support to. We were very proud to be able to cover the costs of the whole day.

September sees a weekend visit in and around County Durham. Then comes the October Lunch at Tallow Chandlers’ Hall, followed by the Christmas Carol Service and Dinner.

All in all, lots to look forward to.
